At Revel, we believe children learn as much from what we model as from what we tell them. Guardians embrace their own opportunities to learn, grow, take risks, and navigate challenges. By approaching life with curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to keep growing, they show their children that learning does not end when school does.

Revel is a learner driven, mastery based environment where growth does not always happen at the same pace or follow a perfectly straight path. Guardians trust learners to take increasing ownership of their education, relationships, and responsibilities. They recognize that developing independence, character, and strong habits takes time and that challenge is an important part of that process.

Growth requires opportunities to try, struggle, make mistakes, reflect, and try again. Guardians resist immediately stepping in to solve problems their child is capable of working through. Guides bring Revel’s programming to life each day. They create environments where learners feel safe, known, challenged, and trusted to take meaningful ownership of their learning. By balancing freedom with responsibility and independence with appropriate support, Guides protect the culture and integrity of each studio.

Connect meaningfully with rebels

A Guide's role is to know their learners well, create meaningful opportunities for growth, and help each Rebel develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and independence to navigate their own learning. Their goal is not to create dependence, but to gradually transfer ownership to the Rebels as their skills, confidence, and independence grow.

Ask More. Tell Less.

Our Guides teach, coach, question, encourage, challenge, observe, and adapt, stepping forward when direct instruction is needed and stepping back when learners are ready to take the lead. Notice and celebrate growth.

Guides recognize effort, courage, curiosity, perseverance, progress, and responsible choices. They offer specific, meaningful feedback that helps learners understand not only what they have accomplished, but how they grew through the process.

Hold Clear and Caring Boundaries.

Guides protect the physical and emotional safety of the studio through clear expectations, consistent boundaries, and thoughtful accountability. They approach challenges with curiosity and empathy while holding learners responsible for their choices. When mistakes happen, Guides create opportunities for reflection, repair, learning, and a successful path forward.

Rebels are willing to try things that feel difficult, unfamiliar, or uncertain. They speak up for what is right, take meaningful risks, ask for help when they need it, and understand that courage often means trying even when success is not guaranteed.

Rebels keep their commitments and take responsibility for their words, actions, and decisions. When mistakes happen, they are honest about them, work to make things right, learn from the experience, and make a better choice next time.
