Exploration Rebels have been selected as the featured school on Dr. Sandra Kirby's Hall of Famers tour!

To supplement our Science of Sports Quest in Session 6, this educational presentation will connect Hall of Famers with students in real-time to share their stories of how they’ve reached the pinnacle of their careers and are going “beyond their wins” to champion good in their communities. Our education programs aim to equip youth with critical life skills, lessons and tools for success, creating a moment where students discover for themselves that sport teaches more than sport.

Dr. Sandra Kirby
Order of Sport recipient and Hall of Famer, Dr. Sandra Kirby is an Olympic rower and an accomplished educator, sport administrator, coach, and activist who has dedicated much of her career to fighting sexual harassment and abuse, homophobia, and violence against children in sport. For over forty years, Dr. Kirby’s activism and compassionate scholarship have helped transform the values and the ethics shaping sport practices in Canada and around the world. She urged athletes and sport administrators to embrace diversity and principles of social justice.
